Making Kansas City Well

The challenges in the health care industry may change, but there is never a shortage of them.

On June 7, eighteen of the area’s health care industry leaders, representing a variety of interdependent entities, met at Ingram’s offices in the Crossroads District of Kansas City to discuss those challenges. The assembly was part of Ingram’s widely read and highly praised Industry Outlook series.

Sponsoring the assembly was Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City whose representatives, Dr. Blake Williamson and Brian Burns, ably chaired the event.

This year, the participants did not dwell on the challenges. Instead, they suggested some highly creative and healthy solutions. The overall mood of the assembly was forward looking and confident. Although fully aware of the problems they face, participants did not shy from tackling them head on.
