Bankers Look Solid in Volatile Economy Some twenty high level bankers and financiers gathered on a summery October 5 morning to share strategies for remaining strong in an increasing competitive and volatile economy. They proved to be impressively open and engaging in their observations.

Sponsoring the assembly was Mazuma Credit Union and First Community Bank, which also hosted the event at its congenial Lee’s Summit offices. Chairing it was First Community Bank president, Greg Bynum and helping host was Jack Fields, First Community Bank’s CEO and Chairman. This assembly was part of Ingram’s Magazine’s ongoing effort to explore business and industry in Kansas City’s greater metropolitan area.

Although there was candid talk about the very real challenges these institutions face, participants expressed confidence in the future of banking in general and their own institutions in particular.
