The Word from Jackson County:
Just Do It

On a surprisingly pleasant late August afternoon, two dozen of Jackson County’s movers and shakers met at Ingram’s Freighthouse District offices to discuss the economic development prospects for the county.

Among those in attendance were County Executive Katheryn Shields, who co-chaired the meeting and Mike Deggendorf of Kansas City Power & Light, the other co-chair. KCP&L and Jackson County Mo., co-sponsored this good-spirited event, which represented still another chapter in Ingram’s ongoing effort to encourage economic progress in Greater Kansas City’s 20-county region.
