TransportationKansas City Moving Front and Center On a nicely pleasant late February morning, more than a dozen civic and business leaders from Missouri and Kansas gathered in the Van Horn room of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kansas City for the third annual Ingram's Transportation Industry Outlook. This assembly was part of Ingram's Magazine ongoing effort to highlight issues of interest to the business community in Kansas City's greater metropolitan area. The change from last year's assembly to this year's could not have been more dramatic. Last year's session, chaired by Senators Kit Bond and Pat Roberts, was marked by the triple anxiety of recession as well as post September 11th and pre-Iraq war insecurity. This year's session was less political, more positive, and actually a little bit more provocative as participants felt free to voice their concerns, hopes and aspirations for the future. |
