Health Care Industry Squares Up To Challenges

What a feisty, straightforward assembly this one was. Twenty-five high level health care administrators, physicians and attorneys convened on Monday, April 19 for what just about everyone agreed was one of the most provocative and educational health care assemblies they had ever attended.

Hosting the forum--and co-sponsoring it--was the Bryan Cave law firm. The other worthy co-sponsor was the area's largest health care provider, HCA Midwest. This assembly was part of Ingram's Magazine's ongoing effort to highlight health care issues in Kansas City's greater metropolitan area. Ably co-chairing the event were Irv Belzer of Bryan Cave and Bryan Rogers of HCA Midwest.

Although there was much candid talk about the challenges the health care industry faces, especially on the Missouri side, participants remained fixed in their resolve to provide superior health care to all comers.
